Who are you?

My name is Sherri, and I have lived in Hutto for almost 4 years. My husband and I have five kids and I run a small business out of my home here in Hutto. I left a corporate [stifling] job back in January to open my own business and become the quintessential 'work at home mom', however I abhor when people use the term WAHM. Blech.

Why did you make this site?

I really love Hutto and I have loved watching it grow. I have watched businesses pop up overnight and families fill up new houses, duplexes and apartments like they are going out of style. I've watched new traffic lights go up and old gas stations fall down. I have had at least one of our five children enrolled in three of the Hutto area schools at any given time and shopped the Farmers Market each Saturday.

I am always looking for things to do in Hutto and ways to entertain my brood locally, and feel like I'm cheating when I go to Round Rock or Pflugerville to spend my money. Unfortunately, I tend to hear about cool events after-the-fact all too often. I wanted a place where Hutto locals can find things to do, places to go and then read all about what happened and how everyone liked it (or didn't like it) while they were there. A place where you can read restaurant reviews before you go and local product reviews before you buy. There are a lot of great things going on in Hutto, and dang it, I wanna talk about them!

Awesome! I love a great debate - write to me and tell me why I'm wrong and I'll post your comments (with your permission) as an opposing viewpoint.

Well yes. Yes I am.
In short: I'm nosy and have lots of opinions, and I wanted a place to talk about all the stuff I'm nosy about and my opinion about them. So there.
